IT’S NO SURPRISE they would go hand in hand , as Obi-wan & Anakin always have . two jedi , two friends , two halves of a whole – balanced on a knife edge ; the war & THEM .
‘ well that seems excessive . ’ the words are stuck against the press of Anakin’s shoulder to his mouth ; but he doesn’t move , even if all pretenses of NORMALCY say he should .‘ I only missed you 6 times . ’ he hopes Anakin can feel him smile through cloth & skin alike . down to the very bone .
ANAKIN RESOLVES TO give Obi-Wan one more meaningful squeeze before setting his former master down on his own two feet again. Giddy sparks of anticipation&& anxiety bite at the Jedi Knight’s heels, && behind all of it there is hope; a nigh-unfamiliar light that bellows through him.
When Obi-Wan had left so suddenly after their…altercation, Anakin had been angry. But he had enough sense to conceal his glaringly destructive nature && the urge to lash out prompted by it. Something as forbidden as what had transpired between them has to be kept under lock && key. Anakin had learned that much from his relationship with Padme. Padme…who’s known how Anakin feels about his master probablybefore he did. Who’d encouraged him to try to talk to Obi-Wan instead of remaining angry at him.
The holomessages that Anakin began to send Obi-Wan every night while he was away were a product of that suggestion.

A private verse tied into ahphra's Sith verse and shadcwpreacher's alternate background. In this verse, after being rebuffed by his son, Vader looks to train Doctor Chelli Aphra as his apprentice.

SO WHAT HAPPENED
The man exchanged his loyalty for her life, and killed the people who raised him. He ended a war in one night, the fire of the gods burning behind him on a metal moutaintop.
The woman he loved was no fool, she could sight a fire started in her name. A queen knows when someone is bowing.
She meets him on a molten planet, begs him to stray from the Darkness. But there is a shadow in the place of the man she loved, a monster.
He takes her breath to silence her, doomed to paranoia on the arrival of his brother, who is too, in some ways, a shadow. Forced to kill the man meant to save them all.
So the man dies, and is reborn. Baptized by fire. The woman he loved dies too. And eventually, even the brother dies.
